Abstract

INTRODUCTION
A hernia will happen when the body’s parts or internal tissues pass through the muscle’s weakness or the wall
of the surrounding tissue. Hernia could be congenital or acquired.
 Most cases of hernia occur in the chest and posterior part of the pelvis. They are usually asymptomatic or have
few symptoms, and depending on the organ involved, mass or swelling can be the most common symptom (1).
A sacrococcygeal hernia is located between the rectum and the end part of the presacral spine (2). In general,
the development of lesions such as tumors, cysts, and hernias in the presacral region is very rare. Apart from
hernia, most lesions can be hereditary, and these cases should be considered in the differential diagnoses made
for the patient (3,4).
Due to the hernia’s slow growth and the pelvis’s anatomical position, hernias in this area may be diagnosed
very late. If the hernia enlarges, it can produce pressure on the adjacent organs or lead to strangulation. If the
hernia enlarges, it can produce pressure on the adjacent organs or lead to strangulation. Digestive symptoms
such as constipation, incomplete evacuation after defecation and pain during defecation or at rest may also
be presenting symptoms (5). In hernia, due to the symptomatic reason or the risk of obstruction strangulation,
surgery is recommended (6,7).
